Kew The Mile

Welcome to the Kew The Mile

Kew The Mile will take place on at 9.45am Sunday 2nd April 2023, on closed roads all inside the Royal Botanical Gardens. This is a very flat mile so with good training you'll run a personal best. This brand-new event is after the start of the Kew Gardens Half Marathon as part of the new GoFundMe KEW THE RUN series.

The Mile event will consist of two waves but is limited to only 100 participants. The first wave will start at 9.45am and will be an all ages competative mile, closely followed by a family mile wave starting 2 minutes after. All races will be chip timed on an officially measured course. See the course here. Family members can run/walk with younger participants but only participants with a running bib will receive a goody bag and medal.

Runners will be chip timed to give them an official mile time and will receive a medal and goody bag after the run. Runners can also be accompanied inside Kew Gardens by upto 2x adults and 2x children (U16)* (See more details below).

'timeoutdoors' Kew The Run is a weekend that hosts the Kew Gardens 10km on 1st April and the Kew Gardens Half Marathon and Kew Mile Run on 2nd April. The 10K will take on a new course running entirely inside the flat Kew Gardens. The Half will start and finish inside Kew whilst taking on an additional flat and scenic route of the Kew Riverside.

After the events, finishers and their families* can explore London's no. 1 visited tourist attraction Kew Gardens that holds 50,000 living plants to be found across the UNESCO World Heritage site.
